This Privacy Policy applies to the website located at www.macombgroup.com and the web-enabled applications and other services we offer at that link (collectively, the "Site"). The Site is owned and operated by The Macomb Group, Inc., a Michigan corporation with offices at 6600 E 15 Mile Rd., Sterling Heights, MI 48312 USA ("us" or "we"). This Privacy Policy ("Policy") identifies the personally-identifiable information gathered by us ("PI") and other anonymous information ("AI") (collectively, "Information") and the use by us of the Information gathered in connection with your use of the Site. You accept this Policy by using the Site.Use of the Site includes such actions as setting up an account, browsing the offerings on our Site, uploading content, placing an order with us, or joining our email list.
If we make any significant changes to this Policy we will notify you by email, or post a notice of such changes on the Site, or flag our Privacy Policy on the Site as updated. You agree to our use of electronic communications with you for purposes of this Policy. If you do not agree to the changes to this Policy, we will continue to maintain and use PI previously collected in accordance with the Policy in force as of that date. However, we reserve the right to terminate your further use of your account, as we are allowed to do as specified in our Terms of Site Use
We collect PI that you provide us in connection with your use of the Site, such as when you create an account, upload content, place orders, and otherwise communicate with us.This Information includes your name, billing and shipping addresses, telephone number, time and date of calls, duration of calls, SMS routing information and types of calls, email address, credit card information, purchasing history, product interest data, user name, password, and electronic communications.We use PI to fulfill purchase orders, process returns, communicate with you about your purchases, to analyze activity at the Site, to assess and address security issues, to offer you promotions, and to administer the Site and related services.At any time, you may elect to unsubscribe from promotional email communications.
We contract with third parties to help us deliver the services offered at the Site and in other ways that help us conduct our business, including hosting of the Site, hosting of data (including PI and AI), authorization and processing of payments, fulfillment of product orders, processing of returns and for marketing services.The third parties engaged to deliver these services have or will agree in writing to maintain your privacy at least with the level of protection set forth in this Policy. We will not share your SMS information with third party agents.
We also collect Anonymous Information regarding your use of the Site, such as computer-related information (browser type you used, your Internet Protocol address, last URL visited, and the date and time of day of your login). We may send a "cookie" or "pixel tag" to your computer which contains an identification number that is unique to the computer you are using and certain parts of the Site might require software or other applications to be downloaded and installed on your computer. You may decline to provide such information to us and/or refuse to accept cookies in your browser or install or enable such applications, although some of our features or services may not function properly as a result, and some services may not be available. We will use reasonable measures to limit any disclosure and use of such PI.We may use PI in connection with the establishment or defense of legal claims.
We have implemented technical, physical and administrative safeguards designed to protect PI against loss and against unauthorized access, use, and disclosure. Passwords are stored on our server in encrypted form. If you lose your password, we will generate a new one and send it to you. We have Information retention processes designed to retain PI as necessary for the purposes stated above or to otherwise meet legal requirements.
Our Site contains links to other websites or programs, requires you to enable third party applications and allows you to access other information and materials provided by third parties (by way of example, manufacturer warranty information). We do not own or control such other websites, applications or third parties and are not responsible for the information provided at those websites or in linked materials.We are also not responsible for, and do not control, the functionality or content of such third party applications, including how those applications interact with the technology you use to access the Site. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy policies of these third parties or how they collect information.
We may transfer any Information we have about you as an asset in connection with a transaction.Any successor entity that operates the Site will maintain your PI as set forth in this Policy.
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian believes that their child under the age of 13 has provided us with personally identifiable information, they should contact us.
You may request access, updating and corrections of inaccuracies in your PI by contacting us as set out below. In some cases we may enable our customers to access their accounts for such purposes. For security purposes, we may request PI from you in connection with such access.
You may request that we delete or deactivate your account, or otherwise delete PI, and we shall attempt to accommodate such requests.However, we may retain and use PI for such periods of time as required or permitted by law or best business practices.
The effective date of this Policy is June 1, 2016.
This Policy applies to our customers, and to visitors to our Site, which for purposes of this Agreement is located in the State of Michigan, USA.We do not represent that it complies with privacy laws outside the United States.
